Short version: we collect nothing. We never see your notes.
Your notes
Notes you pass with Do Not Read travel inside Apple Messages, the same way a photo or a link does. They go from your iPhone to your friends' devices through Messages. We don't run any servers, so your notes never pass through us and we can't read them.
Notes stay in your Messages history like any other message. Deleting the app removes the notes saved on its Desk, but not the ones in Messages.
What the app stores
On your iPhone only: the name you sign your notes with, notes you've opened, your drafts, and your settings. None of it is sent anywhere. It's included in your normal device backups.
What we collect
Nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no crash reporting. The App Store privacy label for Do Not Read is "Data Not Collected".
Purchases
Optional packs are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we only learn from Apple's StoreKit, on your device, which packs you own.
This website
This site has no analytics, cookies or scripts. When a note link is opened in a browser, the note's contents are in the part after "#", which browsers never send to the website.
Children
Do Not Read doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
